A very thank you to Puan Fouziah for giving us time to rest. We used this opportunity to accomplished our asssigmnets.

~week 5: find your partner..

In this 5th week,Pn Fouziah gave us task which required us to design and prepare teaching aids for Year 1 up to Year 6. She asked us to work in pairs with different genders so that we can change the idea and produce a great job.

Here, i would like to announce my BRILLIANNT, SMART, HANDSOME partner:

That was Omar Rashid. He was my partner for this subject. For this week, we need to prepare teaching aids for Year 1, 2 and 3. The topics are:

1. Making Friends
2. My School
3. My Neighborhood

Finally, we manage to discuss the task within the time limit.

~week 3: presentation~

On 20th July 2010, we were devided into 6 groups, and each group had to present on the subtopic in the 1st chapter of Susan Halliwell's " Teaching English in the Primary School". My group need to present

1.1 Children's ability to grasp meaning.

Young children are able to understand what is being said to them even before they understand the individual words. Intonation,gesture,facial expressions, actions and circumtances help them to understand unkown words and phrases.

The children come to primary school with these skills. At this stage, they find it difficult to follow verbal instruction and information given by the teacher. To help them interpret new sounds, new words, new structures, they called the same skills that they had before. As a teacher,we support the children by making sure we make full use of gesture, intonation, demonstration, actions and facial expressions to convey meaning parralel to what we are saying.
